Germany, Kriegsmarine. A High Seas Fleet Badge, Modified for Postwar Wear, Variation 2 by Schwerin Hold marked "800" (silver) on the(Flottenkriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle, surrounding a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, designer marked ADOLF BOCK and maker marked SCHWERIN, BERLIN, measuring 43. 77 mm (w) x 56. 90 mm
