Carved Teak Horse Bracket From South India - 18thC Style - Wine Jars 122 x 4 x 136This beautifully carved architectural support likely would have come from a large chariot called a 'Rath' or sometimes 'Juggernaut'. These were essentially giant rolling temples made form wood and pulled by teams of devotional worshipers often hundreds strong. Beautiful carvings like this often adorned the chariots.
