The Covered Wagon, Minnesota 1941 Puss with the tea shops followingThere were two Covered Wagon restaurants in St Paul and Minneapolis that paid homage to an icon of the American Old West, also known as a prairie schooner. The restaurants were fitted out like wagon trains, with Conestoga covers on the ceilings and lanterns hanging from hooks. Steaks were the big offering here.
