The old license plate features a yellow on a black background and the number 9R7054. Attached to it is a WWII V for Victory tab. These were used as renewal tabs in CA for 1943, post war, to celebrate the Allies' win. This seems to be a later marriage of the plate and the tab though, as the registration numbers do not match.
