It was handmade in Japan and was originally musical, although the sound no longer works. The bank dates to the 1970s and would make a wonderful gift for a child or look cute on a shelf. Condition: It is in good vintage conditions, but does has some flaws from the years. There are some small cracks to the wood on the sides, but this appears to be a normal sign of age to these, as all we've seen
